NEWSFLASH - GE Money waives exit penalties

For a limited time GE Money has agreed to waive exhorbitant exit penalties imposed on home loans. GE borrowers has faced months of frustration as GE Money has passed on little or none of the interest rate custs over the last few months. Many GE customers are still finding themselves on rates of 8% and above when many other lenders are now offering rates of around 5 - 6%.

People have been reluctant to refinance due to steep exit penalities which apply in the first 5 years of the loan.

Due to market pressure GE Money has now offered a temporary repreive for customers looking to exit between 1 March and 31 May 2009. This annoucement is likely to create a substantial increase in activity which will slow down service levels. So borrowers are encouraged to take urgent action to avoid missing out.
